New York State DEC Letter re: Steel Winds Project, Lackawanna, NY

New York State Department of Environmental Conservation

Letter states: “The contention that only a small percentage of migratory birds are expected to be regularly flying lower than the maximum turbine height at Steel Wind has not been validated by sufficient study…” “This text is misleading and does not properly characterize the potential impact to migrating birds.”
