Letter to Richard Hurlburt, Nova Scotia Minister of Energy

Goodrich, Eugene

This letter explains the concerns about the cost and adverse impacts of large-scale wind energy development in the face of the limited ability of wind power to reduce greenhouse gases. It is provided as comment on the “Nova Scotia Wind Integration Study” [1] commissioned by the N.S. Department of Energy, which Mr. Goodrich notices appears to have been written to justify the decision to erect hundreds of wind turbines, not to examine the wisdom and practicality of that decision.
