Reasons NOT to Sign a Wind Contract
Turbines cost you money The future of farming is in efficiency and precision. Turbine roads and towers decrease efficiency every time a field is worked whether it is planting, harvesting, tillage, spraying or other applications. Major seed companies will be less likely to grow seed corn near turbines. They need to be expedient with aerial applications which turbines hinder. Turbines can interfere with GPS, drones and any newer technology that requires a consistent signal. They do not offer nearly enough . . .

A Sleepless Summer
Seasons come and go in provincial Blaashoek, where the town’s superficial harmony is upended by the arrival of a wind park – a blessing for some, a curse for others. The irritating hum of the turbines keeps butcher Herman Bracke, known far and wide for his delicious ‘summer paté’, awake at night. He falls prey to a deadly fatigue and gradually loses control over his work, setting off a series of blood-curdling events, with fatal consequences for the townspeople. Life . . .

Oakfield ruined by First Wind (SunEdison, whatever!) turbines: latest photos
An erstwhile wind warrior grabbed his camera this week and sent in these sad photos of the Oakfield Wind project, still under construction, but with enough turbines up so the impact is clear. First Wind bamboozled the Town of Oakfield with a so-called collaboration with a poor town that was eager for tax revenues and landowners eager to get leasing income. Again, First Wind laughs all the way to the bank, having taken over the town at a cheap, rock-bottom . . .
Judicial Review Group Serves Notice on Den Brook Wind Farm Developer
The Den Brook Judicial Review Group (DBJRG) regrets that the need has arisen to publicly issue the Den Brook wind farm developer, Renewable Energy Systems (RES), with a pre-action protocol Notice of Intent to establish both audible EAM and sub-audible infra-sound noise monitoring. The need has arisen due to continued disingenuous responses and malfeasant submissions from the developer and its agents. This has been the case throughout DBJRG’s longstanding efforts for obtaining effective conditions and controls to properly protect neighbours . . .
