Toronto, April 28 – Greetings from U.K.
Dear Friends, It is with joy that we, in the UK, receive news of your demonstration tomorrow. Country Guardian was founded in 1991 to oppose the industrialization of our countryside with wind “farms”. After nearly two decades of research we are in no doubt that industrial windpower does far more damage to the environment than any benefit it purports to bring. The reality of the wind industry is a far cry from the superficially attractive concept of electricity generated by . . .
To the brave citizens of Ontario protesting against windfarms
Fellow victims of the windfarm scourge: I am writing from Spain to voice our support to your demonstration at Queen’s Park in Toronto. I do it as President of Save the Eagles International, a platform dedicated to the preservation of biodiversity. Raptors, bats, and migrating birds stand to be decimated by windfarms worldwide, while bird societies are being used as shills by the wind industry. Ontario is of particular concern to us as many wind turbines are being erected in . . .
Greeny Grinch Turbines
This is a letter/poem in opposition to the colossal wind turbine situation that is currently plaguing the great state of Massachusetts … all the way from the Berkshires to the Cape and Islands! They are setting new laws and precedents that will affect the ENTIRE U.S. and beware, this battle will eventually happen in YOUR own backyard too. Sooner than you think. It is spreading like wildfire. Greeny Grinch Turbines! You’re a mean one, “Greeny Grinch”! … not as environmental . . .
Wall Street Will Be Killing Many Condors
Saving the Condor was one of the great collaborative environmental efforts over the last 25 years. It gave hope to a generation that witnessed the world environment rapidly eroding before their eyes. Teams of wildlife biologists, resource groups and government agencies that once were united in saving the condor from extinction are now turning their backs as Corporate America marches into Condor habitat. In Southern California Condor habitat is being invaded by thousands of lethal prop wind turbines and everyone . . .
Protect Us From Huge Turbines: letter to legislators
Send to MPPs (click here for email addresses): PROTECT US FROM HUGE TURBINES The provincial government, led by Premier Dalton McGuinty, is about to change the landscape of Ontario forever, by setting and announcing new regulations for wind tubine installations. History shows that Premier Dalton McGuinty and his Ministers of Energy, Mr. Smitherman and the Environment, Mr. Gerretsen have completely ignored and entirely abandoned constituents from far and wide in this province who have been, and continue to be, harmed . . .
Iberdrola commits to current tax assessment regime, property protection
Hello. I was on the Livingston County Board when it voted on the first wind farm application in our county. During the proceeding, we addressed the issue of Illinois taxes on wind farms. Illinois law currently sets a specific dollar value on each MW of installed capacity, which is then taxed according to the rates imposed by local governments. This formed the basis for all the revenue projections put forth by the applicant. I pointed out that the law expires . . .

Wind industry pushing emergency eminent domain law for access to private lands
Here is a letter I received from a rancher in Oklahoma who has been fighting the wind industry. Hi, my name is Sue Selman and I live in northwest Oklahoma. My friends and I have been fighting the wind industry for the last year and half. Our area is under siege too. There are several wind farms in the area and many more planned and then there are the horrible transmission lines planned. This is a beautiful part of the . . .
