Refuse planning on West Tyrone Windfarms
Proposed Wind Farm at Slievard Mountain, Omagh (Planning Ref: K/2013/0102/F)
Proposed Wind Farm Alteration and Extension at Bessy Bell, Omagh (Planning Ref: J/2013/0080/F)
Proposed Wind Farm at Lisnaharney Road, Omagh (Planning Ref: K/2013/0181/F)
We object to these for the following reasons: The planning regulations are outdated in respect to Wind Power. West Tyrone has 49% of Northern Irelands Wind Turbine commitment – we are over-saturated and want no more. Our AONBs and ASSIs needs to be protected from Industrial development on this scale. Our visual amenity needs to be protected from the cumulative impact of this level of industrial development. The value of homes in the vicinity will be severely affected negatively. Independent Environmental Impact Statements need to be produced rather than depending on the developer’s analysis. I trust Strategic Planning Division will take my genuine concerns seriously and reject these proposals.
