sWINDle billboard – call for pledges

Preston M.

Dear Friends Opposed to Energy from Wind:

To date, there have been few clear, widespread public statements on the downsides of energy from wind. A statement via a billboard, I strongly feel, will reach the general public and incite questions. As elected officials are loathe to cross their electorate, hopefully the public will become more skeptical and influence their representatives to change their pro-wind or on-the-fence positions. The local newspapers and TV people could cover the story.

I propose a billboard for the Western Massachusetts Pittsfield area, strategically placed, near a commuter highway. It would be up for one month during the summer period as is confirmed by the billboard people, Lamar Advertising. The billboard size is 10′8″ × 20′11″, and the cost is $1145. 00. Please see the attached billboard design. The cost for one week is $286.25. Please consider any contribution to this effort.

Thanks,
 ~~~
Pledges have already been made to cover half of the cost – only halfway more to go!
