PETITION: NON AUX EOLIENNES À ARROMANCHES
L’association d’Arromanches Port Winston Churchill et l’association Basse Normandie Environnement (BNE) – soutenus par la Fédération Environnement Durable (FED) et l’European Platform Against Windfarms (EPAW) qui regroupe 480 organisations de 22 pays – ont lancé une pétition internationale pour dénoncer un scandale déshonorerait la France. Rien ne peut justifier de tels projets éoliens.
Après le saccage en cours du Mont Saint Michel et des parcs naturels, les promoteurs éoliens s’attaquent maintenant aux lieux de mémoire tels Arromanches.
Au soir du 6 juin 1944, 156 000 hommes avaient pris pied sur le sol normand : 17 000 parachutés, 56 000 débarqués sur Utah et Omaha et 83 000 débarqués sur le secteur anglo-canadien, les pertes alliées s’élevaient à 10 300 hommes dont le tiers de tués. Au nom du respect de ceux qui se sont sacrifiés pour délivrer la France, ne laissons pas un tel sacrilège se faire.

With no exception, our organizations regard this as an invasion of sacred grounds where so many warriors gave their lives.
We are launching an appeal to the international community. We are canvassing for signatures in an effort to strike down this project. Together we ask all to support our call to have these sites placed under UNESCO’s World Heritage so they may remain protected once and for all from any industrial development.
