“Fédération Environnement Durable”, a national association bringing together hundreds of local French anti-windmill associations, is organizing a protest in Paris on saturday october 6 from 2 pm to 4 pm in front of the “Ministère de l’environnement”, 20 avenue de Ségur (75007) (behind “Ecole militaire and Dôme des Invalides”, close to “UNESCO”).
It is probably the first protest against windmills in a capital of Europe.
For this protest we are bringing together all concerned associations under a “Collectif du 6 octobre”.
Our government is building 15,000 industrial windmills 150m tall. Every village, every county, every department will be hit. The landscape is under siege. All protected land is in danger (including natural parks and natura 2000 areas).
– 800 windmills in Auvergne on top of the protected and beautiful volcanoes area
– Mont Saint Michel, a world patrimony site, is under study. The natural heritage of one of the most visited historical countrysides worldwide will be destroyed for nothing.
It is a nightmare, land is “for sale” to speculators.
A special web site will provide news concerning this Paris “Collectif du 6 octobre’ protest:
If associations from other countries want to send their logo or any other type of help mail to: firstname.lastname@example.org
Please pass this information to all contacts you have worldwide.
All people concerned, in Paris on october 6, just come to help us for 2 hours!!!
