Deny KVWPP and Desert Claim Wind Power Project

Residents Opposed to Kittitas Turbines (ROKT)

Those of us who own property in the area where the Kitttitas Valley Wind Power Project is being proposed are trying to convince our state’s governor, Gregoire, to deny this project.

The Governor has the recommendation to approve the project from EFSEC before her and will make the decision for denial or approval within the next five weeks.

Our group, ROKT (Residents Opposed to Kittitas Turbines) has a petition on the web site thepetitionsite.com [1] listed under Human Rights and the categories of Business and Human Rights petitions. The title of the petition is: Please deny KVWPP and Desert Claim Wind Power Project.

The approval of this project will nullify local governing authority who has rightly denied the project and disregard the objections of those property owners who will be forced to live with the 410 feet tall turbines.

Signatures on this petition will help us to convince the Governor that many people are opposed to this project and not just a few nimbys as the wind farm developer has stated.
