A former Liberal MP for the old riding of Kent is siding with the Conservatives when it comes to wind power.
Rex Crawford, who lives in Dover where the East Lake St. Clair Wind Farm is under construction, says turbines are causing a negative effect on home values.
“A fellow wanted to buy my place and then several weeks later when he seen the tower going up, he asked if he could be taken off my list,” says Crawford. “And now we have neighbours that are suing neighbours and it’s sad.”
Crawford says he was opposed to industrial turbines long before any were built in Ontario.
