Banbury: Plans to put up wind-testing equipment that could lead to eight turbines being built near Hanwell have been rejected on appeal.
Cherwell District Council threw out the Regenco plan for a temporary wind monitoring mast at Bury Court Farm last year and this decision has been upheld by The Planning Inspectorate.
The inspectorate said the 60m mast would harm the appearance of the landscape and could pose a risk to aircraft from Shotteswell Airfield.
