Shetland Charitable Trust has suddenly withdrawn a controversial report on investing another £6.3 million in the Viking Energy windfarm, which was due to be debated tomorrow.
Chairman Bill Manson said the decision was purely due to an anticipated problem reaching a quorum of trustees.
He said it had been realised at the last minute that five or six trustees were out of Shetland. Several other councillor-trustees are debarred from taking part in matters relating to Viking Energy due to a conflict of interest and several others choose not to participate in discussions and voting on the issue.
