North Dorset MP Bob Walter joined a rally of campaigners fighting renewed proposals to erect giant wind turbines on farmland at Silton near Gillingham.
Mr Walter told the Save Our Silton campaigners he has received nearly 1,000 letters objecting to Ecotricity’s proposal to build four 120-metre high turbines.
Last July the Gloucestershire-based company’s bid to build six turbines was rejected unanimously by North Dorset District Council’s planning committee but they now have a new proposal.
