N.H. wind turbine opponents appeal to high court

Opponents of a plan to build 33 wind turbines in Coos County have filed an appeal with the New Hampshire Supreme Court.
The New Hampshire Union Leader reports that the Industrial Wind Action Group filed an appeal earlier this month asking the high court to look at a site evaluation committee’s decision in favor of the project.
The committee voted unanimously this summer to allow Granite Reliable Power to construct the turbines in a remote woodland area between Mount Kelsey and Dixville Peak.
The appeal asks the court to consider several questions, including whether the committee made a mistake in ruling that the company had the necessary financial, managerial and technical capability to construct and operate the wind park.
