At the Town Council’s Monday night meeting the members voted to approve a zoning change at the Block Island Transfer Station to allow a wind turbine to be erected at that site. The vote was 3-2, with Second Warden Ray Torrey, Peter Baute and First Warden Kim Gaffett voting in favor, and Ken Lacoste and Dick Martin voting against.

Further coverage of the meeting will be included on this website, Monday of next week.
