Turbine dispute heats up

The province of Ontario has announced changes for wind and solar farms to help advance alternative energy projects in Ontario. Spokesperson for the Middlesex Wind Action Group Esther Wrightman says she doesn’t like that the province has taken control from municipalities about how and where the wind farms will be built The provincial government says they hope the Green Energy Act will lead to the creation of 50,000 new jobs and help Ontario meet its goal to close all coal-fired electrical generation by 2014.
