Sept. 24 hearings set on proposed wind farm
KEYSER, W.Va. — West Virginia regulators plan to hold two public hearings in September on a proposed wind farm outside Keyser.
The Public Service Commission says in a public notice that afternoon and evening hearings will be held Sept. 24 at the Mineral County Courthouse.
Pinnacle Wind Force is seeking the PSC’s approval to build a 23-turbine wind farm on Green Mountain, at a cost of about $131 million. The wind farm would produce about 55 megawatts of power.
The PSC’s notice says the commission will conduct a tour of the site on Sept. 25.
Evidentiary hearings are scheduled to begin Oct. 26 at the PSC’s office in Charleston.
