Is Marion County Missouri a place for wind power?

EMERSON, MO — Some tri state area residents are hoping to harness a natural resource to benefit the Northeast Missouri community.

Steve Boling has noticed for years that the are around Emerson Missouri was always windy.

It turns out it’s one of the highest locations in Northeast Missouri.

He believes this area is the perfect place to generate wind power.

Now he has joined together with 35 other land owners around Emerson in an effort to enhance infrastructure in the area.

He hopes that will attract companies investing in wind energy.
