Hartsville board approves moratorium; Wants to take up to a year to study effects of wind turbines
The Hartsville Town Board has voted to have a one year moratorium on wind energy. According to Hartsville Supervisor Steve Dombert, if the Hartsville board wants to find out about noise issues from wind turbines, the affect of wind turbines on the neighbor’s property values, and how much money the town would get. And if Hartsville Town Hall can get the answers to their questions before the moratorium is up, the Hartsville Board can end the moratorium
Most who we spoke with at the hearing were in favor of the moratorium which was passed by the board.
