Guern. L'association veut la destruction des éoliennes

[Guern Association wants destruction of wind turbines -- scroll down for English.]

Following the revocation by the administrative court in Rennes of the permission to build four wind turbines at Niziau in the commune of Guern, the Association Against the Guern Wind Energy Project (ACPEG) will demand the dismantling of three machines already place.

Two months to make an appeal

The wind energy project, owned by the German company ZJN Grunstucks Verwaltung and operated by SNC Guern Wind Park comprises four turbines 140 meters [459 ft] in height. The developer has two months to appeal the court decision, made on February 5. At the end of this period, ACPEG plans to pursue its action before the high court to demand the dismantling of the turbines. ACPEG has also joined the campaign of “Vent de colère”, a coalition of 160 associations apposed to the development of wind turbines in France.
