Hart land owner proposes wind turbines
Hart Township land owner Ron Longcore has proposed a minimum of three wind turbine towers near Tyler Road and 104th Avenue.
The township currently does not have a zoning ordinance regulating wind towers, but has one proposed that will be subject to an Oct. 14, 7 p.m. public hearing.
Township Supervisor Jay McGhan said Longcore’s proposed plans for his wind turbine towers exceeds what the township is proposing, but Longcore would still need a zoning permit.
The public hearing is to consider the proposed wind tower regulation ordinance in general — not specifically related to Longcore’s request.
