Industrial wind turbines are being pushed by government and wind developers, doing their own studies, to promote their own interests.
All of us who are in the line of fire from these gigantic industrial installations seem to be of little concern.
Our rural countryside is threatened with industrial wind power installations with minimum setbacks from homes of only 400 meters.
Even the measurement of noise emitted from these turbines is faulty and wind developers are allowed to use ‘masking’ to allow for a higher decibel level.
I’m not a scientist, and I don’t have a lot of money for lawyers and experts, but I am one of many that you are all underestimating, who live in the peaceful rural beauty of Ontario.
Our homes, our sanctuaries from everyday life, are here. They are not up for grabs by government and wind developers.
We must stop all wind turbine towers until Ontario substantially raises the standards for installation of turbines to protect the people living here.
I hope the municipality of Grey Highlands will be the hero, the first to raise the red flag and veto all development until its constituents are properly protected.
