[Turbine burns due to mechanical fault]

[A turbine of the Marquesado wind energy facility started burning at three p.m. as a result of a mechanical failure but, according to Iberdrola, the exact causes of the accident will have to determined by the manufacturer of wind turbine. The electric utility put into operation a security plan in which Fire Guadix firefighters, Civil Guard and operators of the company itself intervened. Around the mill, a security perimeter of 120 meters was deployed to avoid personal injury or property damage. The fire did not affect the operation of the Marquesado facility despite the prominent column of smoke visible from the a-92 highway.]
