Anguish from wind farm
I write as the owner, with my wife, of one of the homes directly on the A9 at Brora.
I object vehemently and massively to the monstrous news that Scottish and Southern Energy expect to use our road for constant heavy loads of massive wind farm equipment. The disabled especially – and I am one – and all others who live on this road, most of whom seem to be older people, should not be subjected to the mental anguish and agony this could cause to foundations and windows of our homes.
We expect and deserve to be free of traffic jams right in front of our homes or nearby, that could not just impede but prevent doctors and ambulances being able to access us and pass freely. As a member of the Highland HealthVoices Network (HHVN) I’m totally appalled. I’m pleased to hear our local Highland councillors and the community councils of Brora, Golspie and Helmsdale are working together in objecting to this. How could anyone in their right minds even propose it! I say, either use the road by the new Highland Council HQ just south of Golspie, or forget about the wind farm altogether.
