Turbine: Total disregard for residents
According to the FDC web site, applications for wind turbines will be permitted subject to —
“There being no adverse effect on neighbouring occupiers due to noise emission, visual intrusion, shadow flicker, or electronic disturbance”.
It seems that our turbine-obsessed authority has chosen to ignore its own guidelines on turbine development for reasons one can only speculate on, such is the case regarding the Whittlesey wind turbine.
I ask the question is it right ethically or morally, to knowingly approve turbine developments that will subject local residents to the known detrimental impacts of wind turbine development, and in doing so, completely ignore planning guidelines that are in place to protect the health and welfare of residents.
Planners reported there were concerns about noise, because of the closeness of the turbine to properties, this concern however was no problem to those who approved this blight on people’s lives.
This development close to homes and roads is inappropriate, scandalous, and appalling; it gives good insight into the total disregard by a local authority for the health and welfare of Fenland residents.
