Protesters continue turbine fight
Protesters are expected at a meeting over plans connected to proposals for seven 105m (344ft) high wind turbines in Shropshire.
Campaign group Vortex claims the landscape would be ruined if the turbines were built between Norton-in-Hales and Woore.
Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council is set to approve plans for a track to the site from a road in Staffordshire.
Nuon Renewables said the turbines could produce energy to power 6,000 homes.
North Shropshire District Council is expected to discuss the plans in September.
‘Limited impact’
Those opposed to the wind farm plans have also said the development would reduce house prices and harm wildlife.
In January, Vortex campaigners flew a large balloon to demonstrate the height of the proposed turbines.
Newcastle-under-Lyme borough councillors were to discuss on Tuesday evening the plan for vehicle access from the B5026 in Staffordshire.
Council planners said the proposal for access on to the road and for an estate track for the proposed wind farm was recommended for approval because it would have “limited” impact on the landscape and highway safety would not be affected.
