Foreign Wind Power Developer, Spanish Iberdrola, and Oregon based PPM get wind turbine variances changed by the Palm Springs City in order to install new windmills. City Council Members received campaign funds from the Developers. Wind Power provides less than 2% of electrical energy for Palm Springs. There are 16 other states with greater wind potential than California.
