Ausubel, Jesse
This provocative paper by Jesse Ausubel of Rockefeller University proposes a bold vision for supplying our energy in the future via hydrogen from natural gas (methane). The conversion as he sees it would be powered by nuclear power plants. National Wind Watch does not endorse his plan. Along the way, however, he looks at some of the environmental impacts of renewable energy sources, particularly wind, noting its huge land requirements.
