What are these plans?

Wind power. Wind power, which, on first glance, seems innocuous enough. But, as we speak, major changes are being made regarding the wording to the Policy on Environmental Heritage, of the Tararua District Council, from its current protective status to that which lets companies such as Genesis Energy, Trustpower, Meridian Energy, and Mighty River Power to forever and irreversibly alter the landscape of these ranges. As we speak, a policy that comes up for review once every ten years is literally being put up for debate to the citizens of New Zealand less than a month before it is to be closed for objection. We must act, and we must act quickly.

The Threats and Consequences of Wind Farming

Trustpower, Inc., maintains that wind farms contribute to the economic well being of the district and pushes to recognize the economic benefits of wind farms and the development and maintenance of generation facilities. But Trustpower does not recognize or address the four ranges and the protection of the skyline. Nor does Trustpower speak to the following facts:

- Entire species of birds are threatened, due to the (70 meter) blades of the wind towers.

- Probable erosion into creeks and springs would likely destroy fish and other aquatic life abiding in these waters.

- Plant species are in danger, due to the consequent widespread human presence, herbicides, manufacturing of roads, building sites and power lines, and windmill tower stands.

- Herbicides threaten all forms of wildlife, which would be used to keep roads, power lines, buildings, and tower surrounds free of re-growth, tree saplings, and other plant life.

- The introduction of non-native species that would inevitably be present on the wheels of the earth-moving machinery and other vehicles coming into this pristine environment from the outside world. This would introduce potentially invasive species of plants not native to the area, causing severe ecosystem damage and wiping out whole species of plants.

- The noise pollution from windmill blades, which would force wildlife to flee the area. Loss of habitat is one of the biggest destroyers of wildlife, not to mention that species of animals would move from their territories into other territories where both groups would have to compete for food and shelter.

- As of today we know of no environmental impact studies that have been done in this area in regards to the introduction of large scale wind farming in these mountains.

- The destruction of a pristine wilderness area is a stab to the heart of the earth, for people now, and for future generations. It is a part of the natural heritage of New Zealand, and, like a protected forest, or a work of art in a museum, we must work to preserve it. There are very few places on earth that remain as serene and wild. If policies such as this pass, soon there will be none left.

Solar Power as an Alternative

Solar power as an alternative source not only provides 50-75% of hot water, but also offers an inexpensive, hospitable, and beneficial form of power. The use of solar power as an alternative must be looked into further, in order to discern what is best in this particular region. The time frame that the companies have given to override the policies we are facing leaves little to no time for debate in this area.

No one knows how efficient the wind towers might be, and how many are needed to provide the necessary power to sustain the area. No one knows how much money consumers would ultimately have to spend, all the while gazing at a ruined landscape.

I take offense to Trustpowers assumption that the people of New Zealand want wind power to proliferate on the Ruahines ranges. The existing policy must be stringently maintained and continue in perpetuity to uphold the environmental protection of this mountain range. The untouched beauty of these mountains is our heritage and our childrens heritage.

I say yes to continued research and exploration of substitute sources of energy, such as solar power, as viable and financially feasible alternatives.

I say no to the invariable destruction of these ranges, and no to Trustpower and the other wind companies, which propose to charge blindly ahead in changing existing policies in order to line their pockets. The Ruahines ranges are worth much more than a quick glance. Once devastated, they are irreplaceable. They are, indeed, priceless.

PEOPLE ONLY WANTING ENERGY RESPONSIBILITY !

Snow Creek, Calif., Oct. 29, 2008 — This summer, environmental justice organizations, environmental organizations, grassroots groups, residents, businesses, and individuals from around the state met at Snow Creek to form an alliance to support renewable energy and to influence the misguided policies that are being presented to the public regarding renewable energy. Its mission statement — “POWER! is an alliance of organizations and individuals that supports sustainable, local energy that contributes to social, economic, and ecological health — embodies the environmental justice considerations lacking in the policy-making decisions of government and some large environmental groups, such as Sierra Club and NRDC [Natural Resources Defense Council].

POWER! has released its position paper stating alternate ways to achieve energy efficiency and move away from fossil fuels without sacrificing rural neighborhoods and communities of color. The paper states, “Some large environmental groups have endorsed ‘big solar’ and ‘big wind’ as the only means to combat global warming. These groups do not represent the needs and well-being of desert (or other affected) communities. They have failed to consider the environmental injustice and inefficiency of building and maintaining remote industrial-scale power plants and long-distance power transmission corridors.” For a copy of the position paper, go to: www.generatelocally.org.

Jim Harvey, co-founder of the Alliance for Responsible Energy Policy, said, “All the Big Energy companies make their profit from keeping the American people dependent on utility-scale energy sources. Big Solar corporations like Bright Source and Solar Millennium, for example, have the exact same disregard for the environment that T. Boone Pickens and other industrial energy giants have. They are all the same bullies with the same mission — to keep locally distributed energy generation appearing unattractive and to lobby our lawmakers so that legislation does not encourage it.”

Big Solar, wind farms, hydroelectric plants, along with the necessary transmission lines, are nothing less than Domestic Terrorism being perpetrated on our rural communities, communities of low income and color, and to our Desert Southwest’s premier wildlands, backcountry, and precious parks. It has been reported that up to 3,500 private property owners will have their property taken for “the better good”.

Austin Puglisi, a resident of Morongo Valley, rejects the false choice of global versus local environmentalism. “The city of Los Angeles plans to build giant transmission lines through my community, which would also cross at least two established nature preserves. They call this ‘Green Path’ to sell it, but it is anything but green. Local renewable power generation would reduce greenhouse gases while eliminating the need for destructive transmission lines.”

Propositions 7 and 10 are a boondoggle to ratepayers and a bonanza for Big Energy, says Donna Charpied, from the Center for Community Action and Environmental Justice. “It makes no sense to fast track proposals that are unproven and unrealistically costly to rate payers and taxpayers, with Prop 7, and pave the way for dependence on fossil fuels in the form of natural gas that will serve only to feather the nest of T. Boone Pickens, with Prop 10.”

Donna Tisdale, from Boulevard, Calif., co-founder of Backcountry Against Dumps, explains her disappointment, “It is incredibly disheartening to find Sierra Club’s upper management working at odds against the best interest of our community, and willingly lending credence to such an aggressive and ,in my opinion, less than honest or honorable, wind energy company, Iberdrola. Especially in light of new information that there are much better, less invasive ways to generate renewable energy.”

The Bureau of Land Management [BLM] cowers to developers and goes as far as changing protective designations on lands it administers and is changing the Final EIS for Eastern San Diego County to increase acreage available for industrial wind turbines from 6,900 acres to over 30,000, along the western edge of Anza Borrego State Park almost up to Julian. Now they are amending the plan to allow a new utility corridor for the SDG&E’s controversial 500-kV Sunrise Powerlink.

The Coachella Valley, where poor policies have left residents living with the impacts from industrial turbines, faces even more proposals in the towns of Garnett, Desert Hot Springs, Whitewater, and the beautiful and rustic village of Snow Creek. Les Starks explains, “Snow Creek is a very special place where one can conveniently exit Interstate 10 and soon find a place that is quiet, safe, and stunningly breathtaking in its beauty. The north face of Mount San Jacinto has been noted historically, and still acknowledged today, as one of the country’s most beautiful views. This visual treasure would be negatively affected by the sight and sounds of moving structures, and by the associated elements such as maintenance roads, fences, and lighting.”

A common misconception about industrial-scale renewable development, especially solar power, is that it is benign to the immediate surroundings. For instance, some believe that a solar farm’s main impact is that it shades the plants and animals living underneath the solar collectors. In truth, solar farms usually scrape the entire project site to provide level terrain. Renewable development in the desert will destroy all of the natural, cultural, and visual resources within the project area. In some cases, these impacts extend well beyond the project’s “footprint”, particularly if it would require building hundreds of miles of transmission lines to transport the energy produced.

Larry Charpied, co-founder of Citizens for the Chuckwalla Valley, explains that there are nearly 40,000 acres of solar proposed in his rural community. “We are not only facing the proposed Eagle Mountain dump, we’re also potentially saddled with a hydro-electric pumped storage proposal, as well as the solar projects. One company, OptiSolar, has thousands of acres proposed next to Joshua Tree National Park. When we sent an FOIA [Freedom of Information Act] request to learn more about the project, the BLM denied our request except for some innocuous documents. This makes me wonder how much ’sex, drugs, and rock and roll’ is happening within the Department of the Interior and developers of so called ‘green energy proposals’. I hope the GAO is looking closely at what is happening out west!”

“At this time, the BLM has received up to 200 applications to build solar plants on federal land. In California alone, there are 80 proposals involving 700,000 acres. In Nevada there are 23 applications. So far, the BLM has accepted about 130 applications to build solar plants on one million acres of public land in six states. And, as of August 7, 2008, there were 63 wind energy applications for 412,547 acres secured with BLM Right of Ways just in the California Desert District, plus a number of wind energy applications in Nevada,” says Kevin Emmerich, a Nevada activist.

The bottom line is, there are better ways to meet our energy goals without the negative environmental justice, conservation, and environmental issues if policies are set to meet the needs of the people as opposed to the corporations who will reap a windfall at taxpayers’ and ratepayers’ expense. But then again, policies may be influenced when respected people like Robert F. Kennedy Jr. are named senior advisers at VantagePoint Venture Partners last year while VantagePoint has a multimillion-dollar stake in BrightSource Energy, according to the L.A. Times. BrightSource plans to build solar projects on nearly six square miles along the Nevada border. Kennedy stands to profit should the projects come to fruition. Yet at the same time, the Kennedys oppose wind projects near their home. They recognize the impacts from these so called “green projects”, but they seem okay as long as they stay out of their back yard.

Wind Concerns Ontario provides a strong, unified voice of opposition to the unchecked rush to locate over six hundred forty massive industrial wind turbines across the province in the last 5 years without the benefit of full environmental assessment. Plans to locate thousands more at an accelerated schedule, with even less oversight are tearing apart the very fabric of rural Ontario. Les associations de protection des paysages et du patrimoine dénoncent la multiplication des implantations prévues dans des zones protégées : parcs nationaux et régionaux, monuments historiques, massacrés par des engins de 150 mètres de haut visibles à 10km de distance.

Dear Interested Party;

The U.S. Department of the Interior, Bureau of Land Management (BLM), St. George Field Office is inviting comments on a proposal from Mormon Mesa Power Partners to erect up to twenty-three anemometer towers and appurtenant components to test the wind resource on various parcels of public land throughout Washington County, Utah. The towers would be approximately 200 ft. tall and would be authorized for a period of three years with an option for renewal for an additional three year term. The tower sites are located on BLM lands under the jurisdiction of the St. George Field Office and are shown on the enclosed map. The project proposal includes accessing, erecting, operating, and ultimately decommission[ing] the anemometer towers that are designed to measure wind in the area. Data collected by the towers could facilitate the development of a wind energy generation and transmission project at a later date.

The St. George Field Office is preparing an environmental analysis (EA) to analyze and disclose the environmental impacts and potential safety concerns that could result from erecting the anemometer towers. The findings of the EA will assist BLM in its decision-making process and will satisfy federal legal mandates related to this proposal, including the requirements of the National Environmental Policy Act, the National Historic Preservation Act, and the Endangered Species Act. Based on the EA analysis, BLM will either issue a decision to authorize the project as proposed, recommend the Applicant modify the proposed action, or deny the project due to its unacceptable impacts to the environment.

You are invited to submit written comments on the proposed wind testing project and to identity issues that should be analyzed in the EA. La AEE pretende no solamente privatizar la producción de energía eléctrica en PR si no que pretende atacar a todas las comunidades del país y lo a hecho desde siempre. Las luchas que dimos en contra de la planta de carbón en Aguada, las luchas que dimos en contra de la planta de carbón en Mayagüez, a principios de los años 90, las luchas que han seguido dando las comunidades de Puerto Rico como la que esta dando ahora la comunidad de Guayanilla y todo el litoral suroeste del país, nos tiene acostumbrado ya la AEE a que tenemos que levantarnos para protestar contra sus proyectos. Son proyectos ellos pretenden establecer en contra del interés publico. Yo felicito a las Asambleas Municipales de los tres municipios, Yauco, Guayanilla y Guanica que ya han aprobado resoluciones en contra de este proyecto que no debe ser establecido en ese lugar que ha sido propuesto porque ese es patrimonio del pueblo de Puerto Rico.

Yo creo que es importante que todos y todas asumamos el rol te tenemos que asumir en este tipo de lucha. La AEE va a continuar asediando a todas las comunidades de Puerto Rico. Si no nos ponemos militantes nos van a basar el “rolo”. No podemos permitir que esta gente de la AEE nos imponga su criterio mucho menos abrogándose lo que no esta en ley que le corresponde. Yo me comprometo como siempre lo he hecho a lo largo de mi vida a estar con ustedes en esta lucha, vamos a dar la batalla para detener este proyecto porque este proyecto no es bueno para Guayanilla. No podemos dejar que los grandes intereses que sigan acaparando los recursos naturales de este país.

Nosotros somos un partido que desde el primer día que el Ing. Luis Silvestre de la Sociedad Ornitológicas me envió un correo electrónico empezamos a comunicarnos para armonizar un punto de vista, un punto de vista que en nuestro partido que hoy en nuestra literatura incluimos turbinas de viento. Logramos armonizar un punto que entendemos es lo mejor para Puerto Rico, y es que cada cosa se puede hacer, pero cada cosa debe estar en su lugar. Las turbinas de viento no caben en el Bosque Seco, ni en Punta Ventana ni en Punta Verraco. Las turbinas de viento deben colocarse en otro lugar. Pueden contar con el compromiso mío personal, mío como profesional y de todos los miembros de Puertorriqueños Por Puerto Rico. Esta controversia no es en contra de la energía renovable si no que es en contra de la mala planificación.

Nosotros no estamos en contra de la energía eólica, nosotros lo que estamos en contra es de la localización de ese complejo. Nosotros no queremos que se nos dañe el Bosque Seco. Nosotros tenemos un problema bien grande en esa área. El humedal que hay allí en donde gracias a Dios, la Comisión de Recursos Naturales aprobó nuestra petición y es llevada a las diferentes agencias para hacer parte del Bosque Seco la Ciénega de Barinas. El Vertedero de Yauco es otro que nos afecta enormemente al Bosque Seco, y en esas luchas tenemos que estar.

Nosotros no somos terroristas. Los terroristas son aquellos que quieren dañar nuestro terreno, nuestra fauna, nuestra historia y es por eso que nosotros estamos aquí. Y vamos a estar aquí y continuaremos estando aquí, para que así esta lucha de este pueblo, como lo hizo en Vieques, también lo podamos hacer aquí en Guayanilla.

Vamos a hablar del asesinato de Ventana y Punta Verraco, me explicaron los ambientalistas lo que allí pasó, hicimos lo que teníamos que hacer, retiramos el endoso a ese proyecto, se le escribió a todas las agencias concernidas donde el Municipio de Guayanilla no apoyaba ese proyecto que en principio apoyamos. Pero mire, apoyamos la energía renovable ¿oyó? No estamos en contra de la energía renovable si no del proyecto por la forma y manera que entraron allí destruyendo. Hoy se mantiene ese endoso retirado y lo vamos a mantener allí todo el tiempo y toda la vida. A los amigos ambientalistas que han llegado de otros lugares a Guayanilla, siéntanse en la libertad y la tranquilidad de que vamos a mantener retirado el endoso a ese proyecto y vamos e estar con ustedes en esta lucha. No solamente vamos a estar en la lucha sino que todo aquello que este a nuestro alcance como primer ejecutivo de este pueblo lo vamos a hacer conjuntamente con ustedes. Y en todo aquello que podamos ayudar que también este a nuestro alcance en términos de equipo y facilidades, cuenten con este servidor y con la administración municipal para seguir defendiendo aquellas cosas en que creemos, por ejemplo, Punta Verraco, Ventanas, el ambiente, para preservar eso para las futuras generaciones, vamos a estar con ustedes.

Yo personalmente me mantengo en mi posición porque me parece que la palabra y la seriedad valen mucho en esta cosas porque somos del área y conocemos y tenemos una idea de las consecuencias que podría tener la construcción de dicho parque eólico.

Yo creo que hay que hacer un esfuerzo de pueblo de evitar todo este proceso y no es que no se pueda hacer en puerto Rico, hay que buscar lugares que se pueda hacer por ejemplo en el Yunque, ¿tu vas a someter un proyecto como ese? ¡No! ¿En el Bosque seco de Guanica? ¡No! Hay que ser responsable y a todo esto, esa presión que Jorge Rodríguez esta haciendo indebida diciendo estoy por firmar un contrato, vuelvo y lo repito no puede asumir esa posición, esa postura no puede mantener esas posiciones en contra del pueblo y en contra de la calidad de vida de esta región.

Tenemos que dejarnos sentir de que el gobierno tiene que escucharnos. Pero aquí cuando vienen proyectos de desarrollo, cuando hay que hacer un súper acueducto, un súper tubo se piensa en el área metropolitana, pero cuando son proyectos adversos al ambiente, se piensa en el área sur. Esas son las cosas de que nosotros nos tenemos que levantar y ponerle un alto a esto, pero cada vez que se inventa estas cosas pues mira el lugar indicado el sur de experimento es un momento de que la comunidad tiene que hacer un frente común y que se le escuche. Se pudo haber estudiado diversos lugares y entrar en un proceso se consenso. Y en un área sensitiva protegida por la ONU, de la noche a la mañana le dieron un permiso y para un proyecto simple no se dan endosos, te hacen la vida imposible dentro del departamento. Y se que la AEE ha metido su mano hasta “home” y sus cabilderos y todo para que este proyecto se endosara de una manera rápida sin darle la oportunidad para que las comunidades se pudieran expresar.

Oiga aquí es que se demuestra los pantalones que hay que tener para defender verdaderamente a nuestro pueblo. Esto no es cuestión política, esto es cuestión de que los guayanillenses se den cuenta que es hora de trabajar para no perder lo que tanto amamos. Que mañana no vallamos a llorar como niños lo que no supimos defender como hombres. Y hoy es tiempo de que Guayanilla se de cuenta que hay que trabajar por Ventana. Hoy es tiempo de que Guayanilla se de cuenta de que tenemos que trabajar contra el dinero. Y aquí señores, hay dignidad y la dignidad va por encima de lo que sea. Y oiga, Yanize González Galarza fue a las 5 vistas.

Me di cuenta de la situación y el problema tan grande que tiene nuestro pueblo, que tenemos que llevar el mensaje. Agradezco a ustedes que muchos no son de aquí y siempre están luchando por Guayanilla, pero a mí me gustaría que los guayanillenses llenaran esta plaza para decirle a este gobierno y a los que vengan, que aquí no se juega con nuestra dignidad, que aquí no se juega con nuestro patrimonio y que nosotros tenemos que decidir a favor de lo que nos conviene a nosotros y no con la gente que tiene dinero en este país. A Víctor González, le decimos, ¡oiga aquí esta la fuerza esta es la gente que va a hacer desobediencia civil, y créame Yanize González Galarza va a estar haciendo desobediencia civil, voy contra viento y marea.

Lo que es nuestro tiene que ser nuestro. No puede caer en manos de una persona ni individuos privados, estamos en una lucha constante, un compromiso. Fue tan significativo para mi llegar a esta marcha aquí hoy luego de haber ratificado este compromiso con Paco, con Vivian, de que se me impregnara una cinta de un compromiso de ahora mañana y siempre con esta lucha en contra del proyecto Windmar. Y esta cinta significa no únicamente el compromiso de estar presente hoy si no una que cuando haya el motivo de estar presente en la desobediencia para lograr que este proyecto no se construya ahí estaremos presente, deseo que esta lucha no pare que caminemos fuerte como lo hicimos hoy y cuando haya otra marcha ahí estaremos para buscar y lograr darle seguimiento y apoyo a esta gran obra que hacen a favor del ambiente. Así que la Coalición Pro Bosque Seco y Punta Verraco saben que tienen total apoyo de este candidato del PPD en Yauco.

En el Departamento de Recursos Naturales, nosotros los biólogos los oficiales de manejo los que trabajamos como quien dice en las barricadas, en el campo, que conocemos el área, podemos constatar de que este es uno de los Patrimonios Naturales de este pueblo. Esta lucha contra un proyecto que como se dice en Puerto Rico, “palo que nace doblao, jamás su cuerpo endereza” y este proyecto empezó doblao empezó mal, y va a seguir mal. En consecuencia nuestra presencia aquí, nuestro compromiso en defensa de Ventanas, de nuestro Patrimonio es ineludible, es firme, es total. Y estamos no solamente para la Marcha, estamos para la expresión pública y estamos también para la desobediencia civil, para la defensa de lo que es nuestro. Esto es un proyecto que atenta no solo contra una comunidad, no solamente contra unos “pajaritos’ como decían al principio, si no que también atenta contra un patrimonio protegido por la UNESCO que es el Bosque Seco de Guanica, un Patrimonio de la Humanidad y de Puerto Rico. Nuestro compromiso es total, es firme, es inquebrantable. Lo importante de esto es que caminamos juntos cuando se trata de defender lo nuestro y eso no lo puede detener nadie. Estoy seguro que de aquí, de esta convergencia, esta diversidad de personas de ideas va a hacer que muchas personas escuchen y que por fin logremos detener un proyecto que realmente comenzó mal y que va a terminar mal si lo dejan concluir y no lo vamos a permitir. Podría ser beneficioso pero no lo veo en Puerto Rico como un proyecto que tenga viabilidad y me refiero a la extensión territorial de Puerto Rico. Ese proyecto puede ser que allá en Tucson Arizona o en el área de Nevada en Las Vegas donde hay territorio que uno puede hacer uso demás de ellos pero nosotros cada metro cuadrado de nuestro terruño es bien valioso. Por lo tanto yo creo que un proyecto que abarca demasiado de área territorial no creo que esa sea la alternativa para Puerto Rico. Así que en ese término yo le tengo que decir que no favorezco el proyecto en Guayanilla. Sabemos que crea unos problemas ecológicos también al ecosistema. No tan solo en Guayanilla en todo Puerto Rico nosotros tenemos que cuantificar y maximizar cada metro cuadrado que tenemos en Puerto Rico.

Quiero que miren a su lado y saluden al compañero y la compañera que caminó con ustedes hasta aquí. Ustedes son las personas con la dignidad y el compromiso de tirarse a la calle a hacer el trabajo que hay que hacer. Cuando se agotan todos los recursos que nos da el sistema, cuando vamos a las vistas públicas, cuando lo único que nos queda es la calle y el compromiso de estar aquí. Vamos hacia adelante para buscar una mejor sociedad, una mejor calidad de vida para todos. Ahí, nuestro compromiso con esta lucha. Cuando tengamos que ir a desobedecer las leyes que nos han impuesto para pasar ese proyecto ahí estaremos.

El problema no lo quieren entender porque nadie puede entender los problemas ambientales si no tiene una profundidad en lo que es reconocer La Patria. ¿Y que es la Patria? La Patria no es una ficción, la Patria son nuestros ríos, nuestros mares, nuestras playas, nuestras costas, nuestros llanos, nuestra fauna, nuestra flora, lo que hay dentro de sus entrañas y la gente, ¡si! mi gente, ese conjunto somos los que formamos la Patria. Por lo tanto los enemigos de la Patria son los enemigos de esta Naturaleza, que tenemos que vivir y convivir con ella porque somos parte de ella. Esos son los enemigos de este pueblo.

Les saludamos en amor, fraternidad, justicia, paz y la libertad que Dios nos exhorta a realizar allí y específicamente nos coloca para la liberación que mucha falta hace de aquellos y aquellas que no son cristianos. A los presentes me permito agradecer la oportunidad que nos da la Coalición de compartir esta Marcha rodeados de seres humanos como ustedes que continúan en el cumplimiento fiel y exacto de nuestro deber que esta presente en cada momento de esta lucha. En esta lucha desigual contra uno de los enemigos comunes del pueblo, los sicarios de la vida especialmente los empresarios Víctor González Barahona y su proyecto Windmar. Siéntanse acompañados por nosotros. ¿Y quienes somos nosotros, la Iglesia Episcopal del Pueblo, movimiento renovador y renovado de cristianos que impuso una iglesia al servicio de los pobres. Y promueve un compromiso cristiano al servicio de la justicia, paz y libertad dice en esta actividad ¡presente!. Me parece un disparate que se pretenda industrializar una zona tan bella, que además alberga especies de animales protegidas y una flora de gran interés. ¿De que sirve otorgar la designación de Patrimonio de la Humanidad si los políticos encargados de protegerlo solo piensan en aprovecharse de cualquier oportunidad financiera, como son las subvenciones a la eólica?

Es vergonzoso. He visitado su isla hace muchos años, y siempre recordare sus encantos. No merece ser transformada en un polígono industrial. Además, la desaparición de especies como el pelicano pardo seria trágico. Les felicito por luchar: son ustedes auténticos héroes, protectores de la Naturaleza y de la integridad de la isla.
