A ‘No’ Vote at Lowell Town Meeting, March 2
To the people of Lowell: Attending all the informational meetings in Lowell concerning the current effort to erect 400 foot wind turbines, covering several miles of the Lowell Mountain ridge line, leaves me troubled by the questions that have not been answered – perhaps not even asked yet. When we meet as a community we should always look at that underlying question; How will we offer our children and grandchildren a life, here in our towns, with a decent standard . . .
Public meetings in Ontario – Southpoint Wind
Southpoint Wind has announced the proposal of a 1400MW Offshore Wind Energy Project. Information Meeting on Industrial Wind Turbines, February 18
(Lowell, VT) The Lowell Mountain Group is hosting an information meeting on industrial wind turbines on February 18 at the Lowell Graded School, from 7 to 9 pm. This is a rescheduling of the meeting planned for January 28th that was cancelled because of weather. Save the outstanding landscape of Nant y Moch in the Cambrian Mountains
Petition: We, the undersigned, request that Scottish and Southern Energy plc drops its plans for a wind power station at Nant y Moch and that the Infrastructure Planning Commission listens to local and national objections and declines permission for such a development.
