New York State bills affecting wind power
The New York State Legislature has reconvened, this time with Democratic control of both the Assembly and the Senate (the latter if barely) for the first time in a very long time. With a Democrat governor, it is possible that bills (at least those sponsored by Democrats) may have an easier time becoming law. Time will tell. Congress wrong in providing “stimulus” money for wind energy
As you have probably heard, the US House has unveiled a $800 billion “stimulus” bill that includes extension of the wind production tax credit for 3 years and would provide billions in direct grants to “wind farm” owners. Photomontages and simulations
The main problem with photo simulations is that they equalize every element in the frame and thus inherently minimalize the presence of the turbines. They are also generally wide views from a distance. What photo simulations lack is motion, noise, and the human eye’s natural distraction by moving objects and reaction to incongruous aspects of the view.
